I teach knitting, crocheting and Tunisian crochet classes at several yarn shops and art centers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul/St. Croix Valley area. One of my passions is knitting and crocheting with beads.
I have classes the Textile Center, Knitting from the Heart, Hudson Community Education and White Bear Center for the Arts. I often conduct workshops and demonstrations at special events and festivals in the area.
I have been teaching professionally for ten years. My background as a graphic artist in the publishing industry facilitates my ability to design, write, produce and publish my patterns. I am also the photographer. I continuously develop new designs, offering them as classes, with a focus on teaching techniques.
Learning to knit continental or combination style at seven years old from my grandmother, was how I began my love for the craft. I was so drawn to knitting, she had to teach me in order to get her own knitting back from me!
I live in western WI, just outside of Hudson, with my husband, Lance and the bosses of the household, Alex and Rosie, our brother and sister rescue felines.
I am Yarn Happy Bead Happy!
Recently, I taught an Introduction to Tunisian Crochet class at Vogue Knitting LIVE! in Minneapolis.
One of my patterns was published in the newly released book, North Shore Knits, produced by Three Irish Girls.
My designs are also published in the Knitting: 100+ Patterns Throughout the Year: 2013-2019 Day-to-Day Calendars as well as Crochet: 100+ Patterns Throughout the Year: 2013-2019Day-to-Day Calendars.
All of the pattern images and captions will link to my Ravelry page for free downloads or purchases.
